Tonite I remembered the reason I prefer to smoke in the patio out back. As Mr. Crack and Mr. Crack were out to greet us!!!! Mr. Crack (one) ran down the street it surprises me he can run that fast, must have found a prospect. Mr. Crack (two) got on my nerves, wanted a smoke and just stood there staring across the street. They were actually touring North America I believe they started out in San Francisco. To me it was cool following them as they had an upbeat Polynesian Surfer Style Music and me well check out the song list below. I should let you know though you get a different perspective of Amanda Saint on stage. I always do stripped down versions of the songs I play, and live is always fun!!!! I had never played the song before at the end I strayed a little bit from the original, however the lyrics were bang on. I should mention what I find funny about this song is in the chorus I say "Never, Never, Never, Never" about 21 one times and I did it!!!! A lot people probably think it seems easy, but for me that was a personal achievement!!!

Poor Poor Johnny- Drunken Trip:

I should give you a little bit of personal insight into some of the background of this song. This is my drinking song it has a Yeah Ha!!!! Feel to it!!!! It's about a boy named Johnny who hold `s up grocery store in Kentucky and accidentally shoots the clerk!!!!

Overview:

Before I left for the Open Stage Review I had a call from Allied International, they have been harassing me now for 4 months now for a $200 CAD Rogers Cable Bill. I told the lady I forget her name I was broke and hung up. She called back left a message saying I was rude for hanging up. The time before they called 7 times in a row, to me it is a joke because I cannie afford cable so if I pay the bill how does it benefit me? Which brings me to the night at hand the "Cool Kids" came into the bar as I was playing "Sunshine" they usually come up to me and say hello, however since I chose to stick up for my homeland I received the cold shoulder as they are all followers and into peer pressure!!!! When I was a teenager I went to "Cawthra Park" it was a school of the arts ironically I was a drama major. Anyway some artists seem to think that they are "special" because they have a talent!!!! It always irritated me, you see I am not a follower and prefer when I perform to get feed back from not only musicians but also, non-musicians, as they have no egos when it comes to music. Don't get me wrong the host Yawd Sylvester is a talented pianist and accompanied some the performers in there sets, I appreciate my talented peers. In my opinion this guy Sammy and his friends use fashion and attitude to compensate for there lack of talent!!!! I remember when I use to play open stage at Mackenzie's Pub that his uncle Jeff I believe that organized it hogged the stage!!!! The owners I loved because they loved my music and would give me drinks on the house!!!! I even remember last Saint Patrick's Day I stayed after I played a set at 4pm the crowd loved, his uncle's friend said I could play after the hockey game and at 11pm I was still waiting so I left!!!! Sorry if I offended your one nite stand, but there is more to Scotland than bagpipes!!!! I prove it when I perform you 2nd rate wannabe rapper!!!!

I wanted to show the gentler side of Amanda Saint, wasn't my best performance but I can out sing Sammy and his uncle Jeff any day of the week!!!! I can do many different genres of music and am not a fashion victim!!!!

This is my idea of a pop song!!!! It` s upbeat showcases my voice and has a sunny feel to it!!!! Sammy walking by didn't dampen my spirit!!!

After Show:

The hockey dudes complimented me of my set. They said I was different from the rest and had energy to my music!!!! Really nice guys no attitude winning record 8-4!!!! Looked at the back table and wondered why do these kids follow Sammy?

Sammy should have come this week!!!! I must admit, as I haven't fucked up that much since the 1st time I played at Graffiti's almost 3 years ago. I myself find it funny when the notes sound different than how they sound in your head but as a veteran I kept going!!!! The irony is at home I killed as I was smoking a joint and working on new material. As far as my old material you can actually buy it now on iTunes Plus "Amanda Saint" album "Pagan World" So rather than dwell on how I had to start the intro on the "Gotta Get Down" 3 times and on "Killer Instinct" I must have been daydreaming as by the end chorus I had to end it differently and I told the crowd "That's It!!!! Instead I will give you the copyright lyrics to my music. What disappoints me about the Canadian music scene is I feel I do not sound Canadian enough to get any air play and yet in the past I have had young woman tell me they like my music because it has an edge to it!!!! I just wish that Canadian Radio would realize that woman do more than sing folk ballads!!!! In my opinion we do not do ourselves any favours by having such a closed mind to what Canadian especially female musicians should sound like the audiences get bored!!!!

Overview:

My ex and me arrived and Mitzi`s was packed so we sat at the bar. Chris wanted to go through the McAuslan beer list with a customer so the bartender asked him if he wanted to help her out. I encouraged him but Chris declined the offer, she was sporting a new shaved head. It is a good look and I love the way she knows how to pour Guinness!!!! I admitted to one of the regulars I like think of myself as the "Celt Sun Goddess as I illuminate people's hearts." You see I took my advice and did not smoke a big joint however I was drinking this new Vodka cooler called Boris before I left. I know drinking makes my mouth bigger but it does not affect my guitar playing so it is a workable compromise. There was this young lad I was talking with and I was explaining that pot throws off my timing I asked him, what type of music he plays and he said Folk. I am honest I explained I written about Folk music on the CBC Radio 3, Chris wanted to interrupt and told him different so I went outside for smoke. It gives insight into why I drank before I arrived!!!! I have a very sick sense of humour as I always encourage people to read my writing. People seem to react if they actually have the guts to read it. To me it is "Black Comedy" Chris told me once good comedy always has a sense of reality to it I agree. When I was outside this guy walking by said hey to me, he knows me as Amanda Saint I love it!!!!

I am always going to dedicate this song to 11th division. Question to one of the Sergeant's do I look good in black underwear? To my concerned friends I was not running down the street in a bath towel. In fact I was trying to go to the Credit Union (land lord) since I had kicked him out. My problem is people do not understand what sarcasm is enough said!!!!

I was outside there was bum on the street I told him that "Rock and Roll" is actually another word for sex. Inside this guy asked me where I was from as when I drink I don't care about my accent and he likes my music. I told him Glasgow he must have figured that out as there was this English guy going on about London and I don't care. English men should come to Canada because Canadian girls love the accent I guarantee ye you will get action. What confuses me about English in Canada is why they always sport a fancy accent they are not all that posh believe me!!!!

Yes I use to love THATCHER as little child I watched the elections in 1979 and I thought it was great because she was the 1st woman prime minister of Great Britain and that was a role model for me. She was in fact the longest running prime minister in British history. As a woman it was something to look up to. For even though she screwed Scotland with the pole tax we beat the Falkland Islands and she even had the balls to take on the coal miners and won so as a leader she was great!!!!
